UNWRITTEN CAMPING RULES
Camping is the perfect way to escape from city rushes and everyday routines, but you’ll probably still be surrounded by people, people who just like you have fled civilization and want to enjoy their holiday. There are therefore some unwritten rules that each camper should respect to ensure that his vacation and vacation of his neighbors are perfect and the most enjoyable. We bring you those that we think are the most important.
- CLEAN YOUR SITE
Wherever you are, whatever you do, it is always important to clean up, pick up garbage and leave everything in the best possible order.
- PUT YOUR FIRE OUT
When you grill you must always be aware that you are near the forest. With open fire any negligence can cause a wildfire, especially in the summertime. So always be careful of the fire and put it out in time. We do not want to create extra work for our hardworking firefighters.
- RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBORS
In the camp you will meet people of different profiles, but everyone came here with the same goal – a vacation in pristine nature. Maybe you will meet new friends and find future companions in new adventures, but always respect others privacy. Someone may be reading a book, others running or swimming.
- RESPECT THE NATURE AND OUR WILDLIFE
Our plant and animal world is our greatest wealth and blessing. Let’s make sure it stays the same.
- TAKE CARE OF YOUR SAFETY
Our staff will do our best to help you relax and enjoy your vacation, but it is also important for you to cooperate with us, especially if you visit us with children.
OUR DIALECT
The region of Karlovac-Duga Resa is rich with natural beauty and numerous cultural and historical monuments as well as the intangible heritage of its inhabitants. One of our recognizable symbols that you will surely encounter is our specific Croatian dialect. Although someone would assume that we speak with a Croatian Kajkavian dialect, we are originally Croatian Chakavians.
This dialect is characteristic of the entire Karlovac-Duga Resa region with some differences from place to place. This is originally the Chakavian Ikavian-Ekavian dialect in which many Kajkavian and later Štokavian words were incorporated. Our language and accent have many similarities with the dialect of Istria and the Croatian Littoral. Many archaic Croatian words and word-forms are preserved in our way of speaking so you will experience not only the beautifull Croatian nature but also the soul of our Croatian national identity.
